Description

Made to move between the waves and the waterfront, the Superocean Heritage is no ordinary sea watch. When Breitling introduced it in 1957, it set itself apart from traditional dive watches of the era. The Ref. 1004 (a refined time-only model) and Ref. 807 (the world’s first dedicated dive chronograph) weren’t just built for exploring the ocean depths—they were made to do it in style. With their spear-and-arrow hands, anodized rotating bezel, and naturally elegant proportions, they quickly became favorites among sophisticated adventurers who lived for the sea—and the scene.

Today, that philosophy remains at the heart of the new Superocean Heritage B31 Automatic 42—revamped in design and powered by cutting-edge mechanics. At its core beats the Breitling B31 movement, the brand’s first exclusive in-house self-winding caliber with three hands, delivering a power reserve of approximately 78 hours.

The 42 mm stainless-steel case features a screw-in sapphire crystal caseback and is water-resistant to 200 meters – rugged enough for open-water exploration. The unidirectional ceramic-inlayed bezel offers outstanding scratch resistance and enduring performance.

The cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides, reveals a clear, refined blue dial with a discreet date aperture at six o’clock. The distinctive Superocean hands—arrow for the hours, spear for the minutes—guarantee excellent readability and visual harmony, whether you’re above or below the surface.

Completing the look is a stainless-steel mesh bracelet, which integrates seamlessly with the case and fastens securely with a deployant clasp—combining comfort, water resistance, and timeless style in one iconic design.
