Description

A blue-green dial with a finely graded colour transition defines this Grand Seiko from the Evolution 9 Collection. Its design takes inspiration from the Atera River in Nagano Prefecture, near the home of Spring Drive watchmaking at the Shinshu Watch Studio. The delicate texture and blended shades recall the water and surrounding landscape, giving the dial a sense of depth beyond colour alone.

The Ever-Brilliant Steel case and bracelet provide a bright frame for the dial. This special stainless steel alloy has a lustrous white tone and greater corrosion resistance than conventional stainless steel. The case measures 40 mm in diameter and 11.7 mm in thickness. The bracelet tapers towards a clasp with tool-free micro-adjustment, offering three 2 mm increments across a total adjustment range of 6 mm.

Inside, Spring Drive calibre 9RB2 offers automatic winding with a manual-winding option. U.F.A. stands for “Ultra Fine Accuracy”, denoting a rated accuracy of ±20 seconds per year. Power reserve is approximately 72 hours when fully wound. The continuously gliding seconds hand complements the river-inspired design with an equally fluid expression of time.

A raised, box-shaped sapphire crystal with an internal antireflective coating protects the dial. The screw-down exhibition case back reveals the movement, while a screw-down crown and water resistance to 10 bar complete the specification. The colour gradient, bright steel and high accuracy give this model a distinct identity within the collection.
