Ø 40 mm

Description

The IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 is a bold reinterpretation of an iconic design by legendary watchmaker Gérald Genta. Originally introduced in the 1970s, Genta’s vision of a luxury sports watch in stainless steel with an integrated bracelet lives on in this modern, refined timepiece.

Crafted from stainless steel, the 40 mm case, bezel, and integrated H-link bracelet feature a combination of polished and satin-finished surfaces. The case ergonomics and newly engineered middle-link attachment ensure a comfortable fit even on smaller wrists.

The black dial showcases IWC’s signature “Grid” pattern—intersecting lines offset by 90 degrees—while rhodium-plated hands and luminous appliques enhance legibility. Inside, the in-house IWC Calibre 32111 powers the watch with a 120-hour (5-day) power reserve, using a highly efficient pawl winding system.

To protect its precise mechanics, the watch includes a soft-iron inner case shielding it from magnetic fields. With 10 bar water resistance and a newly designed crown guard, the Ingenieur Automatic 40 is a versatile luxury sports watch built for today’s dynamic lifestyle.
