Description
The blue dial gives this Mido Multifort TV Big Date Chronometer a distinctive graphic identity. A rectangular chequerboard pattern combines with a satin sunray finish to create shifting reflections. Redesigned indices and a minute track on the stepped flange organise the display. At 12 o’clock, an applied frame highlights the big date, whose two independently rotating discs provide a particularly clear presentation.
This version also introduces a technical distinction: it is the first Multifort TV Big Date model to feature a COSC-certified movement. Automatic Caliber 80 delivers up to 80 hours of power reserve. Its Nivachron balance spring, made from a titanium-based alloy, reduces the influence of magnetic fields. Chronometer certification confirms the movement’s tested timekeeping precision.
The rectangular 316L stainless steel case retains the characteristic TV shape and measures 39.2 × 40 mm, with a thickness of 11.5 mm. Sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides protects the dial, while the exhibition case back reveals the mechanics. A screw-down crown complements water resistance to 10 bar.
The stainless steel bracelet fastens with a butterfly clasp with push-buttons. Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices aids legibility in low light. The dial pattern, prominent big date and certified mechanical accuracy give this model its individual character.
