The OMEGA Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon is a striking tribute to OMEGA’s pioneering legacy in space exploration.

The 44.25 mm case, crafted from polished and brushed grey ceramic with a plasma treatment, radiates a sophisticated, contemporary character. The grey ceramic bezel, complete with a laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with white Super-LumiNova, ensures exceptional readability and adds a technical, refined touch.

Beneath the anti-reflective sapphire crystal, OMEGA’s deep connection to the Moon is showcased through the laser-ablated decoration on the main plate and bridges, depicting the lunar surface in meticulous detail. The skeletonized grey anodised aluminium dial reveals the near side of the Moon, while the far side can be admired through the sapphire caseback. The Moonwatch-style hands and bevelled grey indexes, filled with white Super-LumiNova that glows green in the dark, enhance both visibility and visual harmony.

At the heart of this masterpiece lies the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869, a highly precise and robust in-house movement certified at the highest standards of performance. The caseback features the famous inscription “THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY”, a quote attributed to Command Module Pilot Jim Lovell during the Apollo 8 mission, perfectly encapsulating the watch’s cosmic inspiration.

Completing the design is a grey nylon strap with a black rubber lining, paired with a ceramic folding clasp and ceramised titanium frame-spring folders, ensuring both comfort and durability for daily wear.
